City Ace Named In’s Premier League Team Of The Week

Manchester City attacking midfielder Bernardo Silva has made it into‘s Premier League team of the week.

The Portuguese international scored the winning goal against Leicester last weekend, and he has been awarded an 8.37 score for his performance at the King Power Stadium.

Silva is the only City player to make it into the eleven. Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy was named in goal, with Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, Everton’s Michael Keane, Southampton’s Mohammed Salisu and Manchester United’s Luke Shaw making up the back four.

In midfield, Everton’s Andros Townsend, Chelsea’s Mateo Kovacic and Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha join Silva, while Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku complete the lineup up front.

Silva was destined to leave the Etihad Stadium in the summer, with it being reported that the 26-year-old was seeking out a new challenge. However, bids from interested clubs never materialised and he has subsequently declared that he is happy to stay with the Citizens.
