Manchester City and Chelsea are both interested in Leicester City attacking midfielder James Maddison, according to Fichajes.net.
The Spanish rumour mongers claim that manager Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the 24-year-old and would be interested in bringing the playmaker to the Etihad this summer.
Chelsea’s pursuit of Maddison is more of a surprise, considering they already have a wealth of attacking talent available to them, including the likes of Mason Mount and Kai Havertz.
Fichajes claim that Leicester may demand around €60m (£52m) for the England international, who has scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists in all competitions this campaign.
Whether City actually need a player like Maddison, considering they already have Phil Foden, it is up for debate. Jack Grealish has been mentioned as a possible target so there is some credence that the Citizens are after an attacking midfielder.
However, reports in the local media suggest that the club will devote most of their transfer funds to buying a replacement for Sergio Aguero.
