Manchester City are keeping tabs on Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix, according to reports in the Spanish media.
The Portuguese international was linked with the Citizens before his £113m move to Atletico two and a half years ago but the player is said to have become unhappy about his role at the La Liga champions.
Pep Guardiola’s side won’t be the only team looking to sign Felix, though, with Paris Saint-Germain eyeing the 22-year-old as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe. Juventus have also been credited with an interest, although it is hard to see how they could afford the striker.
Last month, speculation about Felix began to grow, with manager Diego Simeone having chosen to keep the player on the bench. Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal were the teams linked with the Portuguese star at the time.
Felix’s situation has’t improved since then but, it must be pointed out, that the forward’s lack of game time has been just as much down to injuries, suspension and illness as Simeone’s reluctance to pick them. It is probably wise to take these latest reports with a pinch of salt.
