Manchester City officials have denied they are interested in signing Barcelona forward Antoine Griezmann, according to reports in the Catalan media.

The Citizens have been heavily linked with the Frenchman, who has 94 caps for his country, but it appears that they won’t be getting involved in the battle to snap up the 30-year-old.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also believed to be keen on Griezmann. Atletico are reportedly the favourites to secure the player’s signature, with the striker reportedly open to moving back to his former club.

In terms of City, though, if they are not targeting a cut-price deal for Griezmann, it seems certain that they still retain hopes of securing one of their top targets.

Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku and Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland are said to be the three main candidates but none of those deals are likely to be easy to complete during the summer transfer window.
