Tottenham striker Harry Kane is no longer in regular contact with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, according to The Athletic journalist Charlie Eccleshare.

The England captain would usually have been consulted during a search for a new manager but, this time around, he has not been in communication with Levy. Eccleshare states that the pair’s relationship is “pretty much broken”.

Kane’s desire to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has essentially left him pretty isolated and it remains to be seen whether he will force through a move, with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea interested in signing him.

Currently, the 27-year-old is focused on playing for England at the European Championships so any further developments are likely to happen later this month.

Levy is determined to keep Kane, but if his relationship with the player is a bad as The Athletic claims, it’s difficult to see how the striker stays in the long term.
