Manchester CIty’s Jack Grealish has taken social media to call out EA Sports about the FIFA 22 stats of England teammate Declan Rice, with Grealish demanding Rice’s pace stats should be higher than what he was given.
Grealish and Manchester United target Declan Rice‘s FIFA 22 Ultimate Team card was officially revealed in the last few days, with the duo having mixed reactions to their new FIFA cards.
Grealish received a massive +4 increase on his overall rating taking him from 80 to 84 rated, whilst Rice also receiving a +4 overall upgrade to his card, taking him from 78 to 82 rated in FIFA 22.
The Hammers midfielder wasn’t too happy with his own rating and stats, however, speaking in a video from the England Official Youtube channel.
In the video both players took an in-depth look at their FIFA card throughout history. A reoccurring subject was the pace of Rice, with both players seeming to complain about the slow rating he was given.
“I’m not slow! I’m not slow, that’s the thing,” complained Rice.
“How am I getting slower every year?!”

The midfielder was given 66 pace out of a possible 99, making him 14 ratings lower than Grealish, despite it being Rice’s fastest ever FIFA card.
Rice scored a wonderful solo goal in West Ham’s Europa League opening game as the Hammers beat Dinamo Zagreb 2-0, the midfielder picked up the ball in his own half, sprinted past two defenders into the 18-yard-box, and brilliantly drilled past the ‘keeper to put his side 2-0 up.
After his goal, Grealish took to Twitter to call out EA Sports on the pace given to Rice, claiming he told them it should’ve been higher than 66.
“I told you @_DeclanRice you should be higher than 66 pace on @EASPORTSFIFA,” Said the City midfielder on Twitter.
The humourous tweet gained a good reception from fans on Twitter who were also displeased with the midfielders stats after an impressive season for West Ham and at EURO 2020 for England.
In the video, we also saw Grealish’s reaction to his FIFA 22 rating, with the winger pretty pleased with his new rating and stats.
“Better pace, better shooting, better passing, better physical, same defence. 88 dribbling? I’ll take that all day. Cheers FIFA,” said Grealish.

United have shown an interest in signing Rice and look set to make him a target next summer, but West Ham have dug their heels in so far over the player’s valuation.
The holding-midfielder position is the one role that United were unable to fill in the summer transfer window, with many United fans believing Rice could be the perfect fit for the role in Solskjaer’s side next season.
