Manchester City pair Gabriel Jesus and Bernardo Silva are “at the head” of the queue of possible departures as the Premier League champions look to fund their summer transfer business, according to the Manchester Evening News reporter Stuart Brennan.
The veteran journalist says that the Citizens believe it is possible to finance deals for both Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish and Tottenham’s Harry Kane if they are able to offload a “major name” beforehand:
Hang on.
Surely City can’t buy BOTH Kane and Grealish, can they?
Well yes, they can.#MCFC #THFC #COYS #AVFChttps://t.co/uXuGadnPHr

While the Grealish transfer appears to be a lot more advanced, there is still less certainty about a move for Kane. The striker’s decision to miss the start of preseason training today has caused a stir, but there are still doubts over whether Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will agree to sell the 28-year-old.
City are not prepared to pay £160m for Kane, and they are said to value the player closer to £120m, but it remains to be seen whether Levy is prepared to compromise. He may use the interest from Manchester United and Chelsea to keep his price tag high but it does seem clear that the England captain’s preference would be City.
In terms of Jesus and Silva, no team has come forward with a satisfactory offer for the pair yet, so if they do stay, it may compromise the club’s efforts to sign Kane before the transfer window closes.
