Man City to host Champions League final screening at Academy Stadium

Manchester City will host a screening of the Champions League final for supporters.

City will be looking to make history on Saturday as they aim to win the Champions League for the first time in their history when they take on familiar foes Chelsea in Porto.

Due the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, City have only been allocated 6,000 supporters at the Estadio Do Dragao for the final.

However, the Blues have moved to still make the occasion special for those fans who weren’t lucky enough to secure a ticket and will screen the final live at their Academy Stadium.

Up to 4,000 supporters will be able to watch the game on multiple super-sized screens, with tickets priced at £5 each, though that includes a goodie bag with complimentary soft drinks and snacks.

A host of City legends will also be on hand to offer their insights and analysis throughout the evening on stage.

Pitch and stand tickets will go on sale firstly to season ticket holders from the 2019/20 season from 10am on Thursday, May 27. Should there still be tickets available after the priority window then they will become available for existing Cityzens Official Members at 1pm, though there is no guarantee that the window will open.

The event will be in line with current Government guidelines for outdoor events and thus a number of health safety measures will be in place.

Fans must remain in their seats for the duration of the event and face coverings must be worn unless eating or drinking. NHS track and trace will be in operation, social distancing will be implemented and attendees will be required to agree and adhere to the ‘COVID-19 Supporter Code of Conduct’, to be published at 10am on Thursday.

Gates open at 6pm, tickets are non-transferable and alcohol will not be on sale.
