Manchester City are expected to be without both Ederson and Gabriel Jesus when they take on Burnley at the Etihad Stadium this weekend.
Both players are in the Brazil squad who are set to face Uruguay early on Friday morning so the prospect of the pair being fit and available for the Saturday afternoon kickoff is very unlikely.
Manager Pep Guardiola should be able to welcome back Oleksandr Zinchenko (calf) and Ilkay Gundogan (thigh) to the fold, though, with Liam Delap (knock) the only other player ruled out of contention.
Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Burnley:
Steffen, Walker, Dias, Laporte, Cancelo, Foden, Fernandinho, Silva, Mahrez, Torres, Grealish
Clarets boss Sean Dyche has fitness doubts over Maxwel Cornet (thigh) and Ben Mee (ankle), with Johann Berg Gudmundsson (muscular) also unlikely to feature. Dale Stephens is still sidelined with an ankle problem.
Burnley’s Predicted XI:
Pope, Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor, Cornet, Westwood, Brownhill, McNeil, Wood, Barnes
The bookies have City as the heavy favourites with Betway pricing them at 2/15 for the win. A draw is currently 9/1 with Betfred while a victory for Burnley is 25/1 at the same bookmaker.
Predicted Score – 5-0 to City
