Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is likely to ring the changes for the Carabao Cup third round tie against Chelsea on Wednesday night.

The Citizens will still be looking to secure victory against their Premier League opponents, though, who have struggled for form in recent weeks, with two defeats in their last three fixtures.

In terms of the team news, Guardiola has confirmed that Kyle Walker (groin) is still not available, while Joao Cancelo is suspended after his red card against Fulham.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Chelsea:

Ortega, Lewis, Dias, Laporte, Gomez, Palmer, Gundogan, Foden, Mahrez, Alvarez, Grealish

Chelsea boss Graham Potter has seven players on the treatment table. Jorginho is a doubt due to a foot injury, while Carney Chukwuemeka (hamstring), Kepa Arrizabalaga (foot), Reece James (knee), Ben Chilwell (hamstring), Wesley Fofana (knee) and N’Golo Kante (hamstring) are ruled out.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI:

Mendy, Azpilicueta, Chalobah, Silva, Koulibaly, Cucurella, Zakaria, Gallagher, Ziyech, Broja, Pulisic

The bookmakers have made City the strong favourites with Betway pricing them at 19/40 for the win. A draw after 90 minutes is 19/5 with Betfred while a victory for Chelsea is 6/1 at Coral.

Predicted Score – City to win 2-0
