Manchester United fans will love what David De Gea did to Man City’s Rodri in Spain training

Spain got back to winning ways in their qualifying campaign for next year’s FIFA World Cup with a comfortable 4-0 home win over Georgia on Sunday evening.

Goals from Jose Gaya, Carlos Soler, Manchester City’s Ferran Torres and Pablo Sarabia wrapped up a comfortable victory for Luis Enrique’s side, ensuring they secured their first victory since losing their European Championship semi-final to Italy back in July.

But Spain cannot afford to rest on their laurels with one more game to come before the current international break reaches its conclusion, with a trip to Kosovo to come on Wednesday evening.

In preparation for their clash with Bernard Challandes’ side, Spain’s players have immediately got to work on the training ground once again, getting themselves ready for what will no doubt be a difficult assignment.

But amongst all of the serious and tactical work that will have been going on, Spain’s stars found some time to take their foot off the pedal for a short period and enjoy some downtime, featuring some fancy skills from Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

In video footage released by the Spain national team on Twitter, De Gea has been filmed twice nutmegging two of his team-mates, one of which was City midfield enforcer Rodri.

First time around, De Gea was filmed knocking the ball through the legs of fellow goalkeeper and Brighton & Hove Albion ace Robert Sanchez, who stepped off the bench in the second half against Georgia to replace Unai Simon.

The Brighton goalkeeper took it in good humour, running to get hold of De Gea and joke about it with him. Moments later, the United shot-stopper repeated the trick for a second time, this time knocking the ball through Rodri’s legs.

The City ace responded by pointing and laughing at De Gea, whilst the rest of the squad looked on and jeered, probably in disbelief that De Gea had done it for a second time.

De Gea, who has kept one clean sheet for United in three Premier League outings so far this season, has not played for Spain over this current international break as of yet.
