Pep Guardiola is likely to give updates on four key players ahead of Manchester City’s final Premier League game of the season at home to Everton.
Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Kyle Walker all missed the midweek defeat at Brighton for fitness reasons, while Ilkay Gundogan limped off. Guardiola said the early signs of Gundogan’s injury were promising, and he was taken off as a precaution, but with one game left before the Champions League final he is unlikely to take any risks.
Guardiola’s selection might give a clue as to his thinking ahead of the Champions League final starting XI, although Joao Cancelo is suspended after his red card at Brighton.
Everton need a positive result to try and secure European football next season, while City will lift the Premier League trophy after full time, as well as giving a presentation to outgoing striker Aguero on his final Etihad appearance.
