Manchester City are prepared to offer Real Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos a two-year contract, according to reports in the English media.
The 35-year-old, who has won the Champions League four times, will officially be a free agent tomorrow, and he has also been linked with the Citizens, along with Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester United in recent weeks.
Ramos would undoubtedly add experience to Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad, but fans on Twitter are very much divided over whether City actually need to sign him:
We'll take him, he still a very good player.

With Aymeric Laporte expected to be sold this summer, another centre-half will be needed. Guardiola won’t want to go into the season with just Ruben Dias, John Stones and Nathan Ake to choose from.
Ramos would be a decent signing but only if he accepts that he will be used as a rotation option. Dias and Stones proved to be a formidable centre-back partnership last season and deserve to be kept together.
